Brad MacAfee
EVP, Technology Practice

Brad MacAfee brings a wealth of public relations experience—on both the agency and corporate sides—to Porter Novelli where he leads the Technology Practice. Prior to joining Porter Novelli, he was at Peachtree Software, where he served as Director of Public Relations, and later, as the Director of Business Development.
Brad provides strategic counsel for a number of telecom and enterprise solution providers including HP, Best Software, and Witness Systems. He also serves as the key account manager for BellSouth. In his role, Brad is the senior technology counselor for Porter Novelli's Florida office that handles Latin American programs for Microsoft, Qualcomm, HP and Witness Systems.
As head of Peachtree's business development, Brad established the company's first successful business development program—forging dozens of strategic partnerships valued at millions of dollars. He managed all aspects of the affiliate program, from lead generation to ongoing partnership management, and managed large corporate partners including Microsoft and IBM.
During his two-year stint as Peachtree's Director of Public Relations, Brad developed key external relationships with media and analysts. He expanded the company's PR activity from brand building to lead generation, turning 21% of all leads into sales. He also increased editorial coverage for Peachtree by more than 50% annually. Prior to joining Peachtree, Brad served as a senior account manager for Copithorne & Bellows, a leading global high-tech PR company that recently merged with Porter Novelli. At C&B, Brad represented a wide range of small business and ecommerce clients, including ADP and Verifone.
Brad's PR experience also includes three years as a senior account manager at Alexander Communications (now Alexander Ogilvy) in Atlanta. His clients included Rand McNally, CompuServ, Discovery Channel and Ericsson.
Brad has been instrumental in securing numerous prestigious awards on behalf of clients, including PC Magazine's Editor's Choice, InfoWorld Analysts' Choice, Computer Shopper's Best Buy, Accounting Today's Top 100, Software Publishers Association CODIE Award, and Soft*letter's best public relations campaign. Brad is a graduate of Indiana University with a degree in telecommunications.
